Many species of dinosaur are believed to have nurtured their young. Dinosaurs that certainly raised their young include Maiasaura, Oviraptor, Massospondylus, and most birds (which are a subgroup of dinosaur).
Cowbirds lay their eggs in other birds nests, leaving the young to be raised by the host species.
Young camels are raised by their mother. They suckle for over an year and stay close to the cow's side.
