It was a TURNING POINT, because the Imperial Navy lost the cream of the crop of their fighter, Torpedo, and dive bomber pilots. Not to mention the cream of the crop of their flight deck crewmen aboard the sunk aircraft carriers. Japan did NOT train enough of those particular skilled men when they went to war!
