How did Britain's blockade of the Boston harbor affect the trade in Boston?

𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗢𝗳 𝗕𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗿 Let's start with what the blockade of the Boston Harbor is. The blockade of Boston Harbor is a law made by the parliament. The blockade of the Boston Harbor is one of The Coercive (Intolerable) Acts. The Coercive Acts was mainly caused by the Boston Tea Party. The Boston Tea Party is when 30 - 130 colonists dressed up as Indians and protested the tea taxes from the Townshend Acts. The colonists dumped 46 tons into the water. All because this happened the parliament put a Coercive Act. 𝗔𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿 Britain's blockade of the Boston Harbor affected the trade in Boston by isolating shipments from the Boston Harbor. Boston was now only relying on merchant trades to not perish. Merchant trades can not be fully relied on therefore it hurt Boston greatly.

What was the purpose of the Intolerable Acts?

The Intolerable Acts were meant to be a punishment for the actions of dumping tear into the Boston harbor during the Boston Tea Party. The British Parliament passed these acts (calling them the Coercive Acts) which took away self-government and historic rights from Massachusetts and caused massive outrage and opposition in the Thirteen Colonies. The acts were foundation to the beginning of the American Revolution in 1775.

The Boston Massacre caused tensions to rise enormously between the Americans and British because this was the first killing that occurred. The Americans realized that the British were not there to help them, but instead to put an end to their liberty. This was a leading cause to the Revolutionary War.

How did opposition to British tax policies the colonial rebellion in 1770?

The Great Britain Parliament had imposed high rates of taxes on the American colonists for goods that they were supplying to America. The Americans realized that without having representation in Parliament they were defenseless against these high rates of taxes. This caused them to rebel against the unfair taxation in 1776.

What Document explain the reasons that led to The American Revolutionary War?

I don't know of any documents but many documents caused the revolution. For example, Benjamin Franklin did a drawing depicting the British shooting on an unarmed crowd during the Boston Massacre. This angered many people even though the drawing was exaggeratted greatly. The colonists were throwing rocks at the British. I believe the Coercive Acts caused the revolt. The acts closed Boston Harbor for awhile, effecting many businesses. Also, people could not hold town meetings. Imagine that! Lastly, it sent British soldiers into people's homes. Imagine having all of your enemies living in your home!! We did a debate on the biggest thing that caused the revolution. The Coercive Acts won thanks to me!!
