If it has been mailed, then less than a week.
Of course, the Postal Service is unpredictable. Sometimes they can take a month to deliver an ordinary letter across the street.
How long do it take to get a stimulus check in the mail
It depends on whether you efiled or mailed your return. If you efiled, you should have your refund (I assume you meant refund and not return) within two weeks at the latest. If you mailed your return, you can expect your refund within 6 weeks.
A few days 3, 4, 5, etc. after it is put in the mail by the IRS.
No, I'm sorry. You should check with the bank and request a tracking number and find out what courier was used. It could be lost in the mail which at that point the bank should be able to void that check and issue a new one.
If you filed your taxes through H&R Block then you can use the IRS website to see when you will get your refund. It usually takes 14-21 days to get a direct deposit and a little longer for a check to be mailed. Go to irs.gov/Refunds and follow the links to the "Where's My Refund" section to get your information.
I mailed my mother's state taxes on Saturday, 2/9/13 and she received her paper check on 2/21/13. 12 days isn't bad.

If a tax return is e-filed it will take approximately 10 days to receive the refund by direct deposit. Mailed checks take about 21 days.

If you efile approx 4-7 days. If you mailed your return its 3-6 weeks
Around 3 weeks unless you efile.
You will have to ask them that.
Normally the time for the tax refund to be mailed is about 6 weeks once the paper return is sent. The 6 weeks time span mainly assumes that the papers were filed before the deadline (April 15). If you have filed before the deadline, then its pretty much obvious you should recieve the check in the last week of May. Sometimes it can take up to first week of June. Traditional filling can take about six weeks, if you go by Online filling, you should be able to recieve within 3 weeks time. The period when tax refunds are mailed is thus shorter if you have online access. So it is best to file online since the time period is almost half compared to paper fllling.
IRS Refund checks come from the Dept of Treasury, now whether they have more than one processing place to process checks is the correct question, depending on how long it takes from the time they say they are mailing it (usually a friday) and the time you get it in the mail (sometimes sat sometimes tue), would lead me to believe there are multiple centers that handle regions. (McM in ATL) My check came from Philadelphia, PA and I live in Georgia, mailed on the 12th and in my mailbox on the following Monday. So obviously the IRS website that tells you when your check was mailed is accurate.
