zero longitude
The town in England that is at 0 longitude or the prime meridian is Greenwich. It is located in southeast London, and it is famous for being the reference point for measuring longitude and the starting point of the Global Positioning System (GPS). The Royal Observatory, located in Greenwich, marks the exact location of the prime meridian.
They are the axes of the coordinate system that is used for places on the earth's surface. Every point on the earth's surface is a certain number of degrees east or west of the prime meridian (its longitude) and a certain number of degrees north or south of the equator (its latitude).
Meridian
The spelling is "prime meridian". That is the meridian from which counting begins; i.e., the prime meridian, by definition, has longitude zero, and degrees are counted to the east and to the west of the prime meridian. In the international system currently used, that is the Greenwich meridian - a meridian that goes through the Greenwich Observatory in London.
"Sistema de posicionamiento global" is a Spanish equivalent of "global positioning system."
Longitude is either 'East' or 'West' of the [Greenwich] meridian. Adding letters to a number makes calculations with it difficult, along with being awkward to store in computers, so using the normal number line with negative numbers to the left:longitudes West are Left of the Greenwich meridian and so are represented by negative numbers;longitudes East are Right of the Greenwich meridian and so are represented by positive numbermakes the calculations and storage easy. For example, Land's End at 5o44'W becomes -5o44'and Great Yarmouth at 1o44'E becomes 1o44'
It is not always better.Although quadratic equations always have solutions in the complex system, complex solutions might not always make any sense. In such circumstances, sticking to the real number system makes more sense that trying to evaluate an impossible solution in the complex field.
The word Internet is capitalized when referring to the global system of interconnected computer networks.
meridian
There are a number of advantages of a SBC Global mail system address. Firstly one can transfer all their existing mail and addresses to this account easily. Secondly it can be accessed from any online computer.

I can not find any reference to a Meridian in the Solar System. In astronomy, there is the Earth's meridian. That's a "great circle" on the "celestial sphere". It passes through the "celestial poles" and also through the "zenith" at the observer's location.
