Newfoundland Labrador was the last province to join Confederation in 1949 (Nunavut was the last territory to join, on April 1, 1999).
Canada's confederation began on July 1, 1867 (this is why July 1 is Canada Day). On this day, three British colonies were formed into four Canadian provinces. There was Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.
It became a province of Canada in 1905.
They reoresented their own colonies which were the Maritime colonies, and the Province of Canada, before 1867. After that beautiful year many other fathers joined the confederation. They also represent the country of Canada. And if you have a problem with that. I got 2 words for ya. SUCK IT. ☺
No colonies or state joined on July 1, 1867, but Nebraska joined statehood on March 1 of that year.

P.E.I was the eighth province and territory to join Canada. They joined July 1, 1873.
