Matter isn't a term that is clearly defined, however I have found it most commonly used distinctively different than mass by using the assumption that an atom is a quantized form of matter. Ergo, the number of atoms is the amount of matter in an object.
The unit for a number of atoms is Moles. A mole is Avagadro's Number of atoms, which is independent of the mass of the matter. Thus, knowing the mass of a discrete number of moles of a particular substance, and knowing the mass of a given sample, you can calculate how much "matter" is actually present in the sample.
Also, don't confuse any of this with volume. This was all independent of volume.
Mass is measured in kilograms or grams and refers to the amount of matter in an object.
The amount of matter in an object is the fundamental property of the object. This is matter to weight.
Mass is the amount of matter in an object and is measured in grams.
The term for the amount of substance measured by a laboratory balance is "mass." It refers to the quantity of matter in an object or substance, typically measured in grams or kilograms using a balance.
Mass is THE AMOUNT OF MATTER IN AN OBJECT.
The amount of matter an object contains is known as its mass. Mass is a measure of the quantity of matter in an object and is typically measured in kilograms or grams.
matter is not measured by grams or kilograms. that is mass. but matter is measured by using mass. mass is the amount of matter in an object.
Its mass.
The amount of matter an object is made of is called its mass. This mass is a measure of the quantity of matter in the object and is typically measured in units such as grams or kilograms.
The amount of matter in a body or object is called mass. Mass is a measure of the total amount of material in an object, and it is typically measured in units such as grams or kilograms.
The amount of matter in an object is determined by its mass, which is a measure of the quantity of matter present. Mass is typically measured in kilograms or grams.
mass is the measure of the amount of matter in an object or substance (ie. in grams)
