The anterior bone of the shoulder girdle is the clavicle, also known as the collarbone. It connects the sternum (breastbone) to the scapula (shoulder blade) and helps to support the shoulder and upper limb.
The transparent anterior portion of the eye is known as the cornea. It plays a crucial role in focusing light onto the retina at the back of the eye to create clear vision. The cornea has no blood supply and receives nutrients through the tear film and aqueous humor.
Fish do not have "pelvic girdles" per se. Land animals in large majority have skeletal structures in their hips known as pelvic bones. In humans, men have a narrow pelvic size and women have a wider pelvic size. This is because women bear babies. The circular shape of these pelvic bones are referred to as the "pelvic girdle". Fish, however, don't have hip bones. Living in the water has eliminated the need for the extra physical support those bones would give during pregnancy. Since fish range in size from near-microscopic up to the immense whale shark, the equivalent to the pelvic area would vary greatly in size. Mammals too, range widely in size so comparison is difficult without a more specific question.
Depending on the goal of the procedure, a pelvic ultrasound can also be called a bladder ultrasound, pelvic gynecologic sonogram, or obstetric sonogram.
Anterior surface
The extension of the pelvis that encircles the apex of the pyramid is called the pelvic brim, also known as the pelvic inlet. It is the upper border of the pelvic cavity and is defined by the bony edges of the pelvic bones.
The fat in the anterior interventricular sulcus is known as the "anterior interventricular fat pad" or "anterior interventricular vein of Marshall." It serves as a cushioning layer and may contain blood vessels and nerves that supply the heart.
The frontal (also known as coronal) seperates the heart into anterior and posterior portions.
The depression between the two ventricles on the anterior surface of the heart is called the interventricular sulcus or the anterior interventricular groove. It houses the anterior interventricular artery, also known as the left anterior descending artery.
The vesica urinaria, commonly known as the urinary bladder, is located in the pelvic cavity, posterior to the pubic symphysis. It sits above the prostate gland in males and is positioned anterior to the vagina in females. The bladder serves as a temporary storage reservoir for urine before it is expelled from the body.
chlamydia is the only std i can think of that causes pelvic inflammatory, as over time the disease leaves it's tell tale mark by scarring your pelvic area. But std's aren't the only thing that can cause inflammatory, discomfort or potential diseases in the pelvic area, tampons have been known to do this too. although it's very rare.
