Palace of Versailles
The architects Louis Le Vau and Jules Hardouin Mansart mainly designed the Palace of Versailles for Louis XIV. Construction began in 1661 using the French Baroque style.
The "Hotel des Invalides" was build by architects Libéral Bruant and Jules Hardouin-Mansart on order of the French King Louis XIV in 1670.

The chateau de Versailles was build commissioned by Louis XIV, le Roi du Soleil. The architect was Louis LeVau and Jules Hardouin-Mansart. André LeNôtre designed the gardens, Charles LeBrun designed the decorations. 36,000 workmen were employed to build the palace.
