The beginnings of the Neolithic Revolution depended on the development of agriculture and the domestication of plants and animals. The Industrial Revolution, on the other hand, relied on advances in technology, particularly in machinery and steam power.

The geography and climate of New England was not fit to farm many crops, like the South was. New Englanders depended on shipping and manufacturing, which made them industrialize after the Industrial Revolution.
Improved metal making processes allowed the growth of other industries that depended on them. They could supply higher quantity quality and higher quantities to other industries. They could also supply them cheaper.

That's the neolithic revolution. Literally means new stone age. People no longer depended completely on hunting/gathering and were able to domesticate their own crops and animals. It's believed that this revolution occurred due to climate changes brought about by a thawing world. Also, people began to settle down which drastically changed lifestyles and paved the way for eventual development of civilization. Other effects included higher social inequality caused by uneven accumulation of wealth.
American prosperity was based mostly on Agriculture and Trade.

Raw Materials were what the peoples depended on. To make product, they needed cotton/coal/etc, and they needed to make product to sell and trade. Raw Materials were a basic need.
before the industrial revolution there were an awful lot less people and about 80% were living on farms but afterwards only about 20% were living on farms and they all moved to the cities before the revolution there was less money and the infant mortality was a lot lower too!
