yes ! to insure linearity
As a metering device you need uniformity
Mercury is a liquid over a wide range of temperature ( -39 to 357 degrees ) so it can be used in a variety of temperature ranges. Secondly it does not stick to the glass tubing of the thermometer so when the temperature falls ( i.e. after the reading is taken) all the mercury falls back into the reservoir. This ensures the accuracy of the mercury thermometer.
The capillary tube is used on the inside of the refrigerators. It is a long copper tubing that is used as a thruster.
Plant evaporate water from the leaf and cause capillary effect to pull the water through the shoot.
It isn't dangerous until the glass breaks. Broken glass is dangerous. The contents inside the tubing may contain mercury or other chemicals that should not be ingested.
1. length of metals will be increased. 2. mercury is used in thermometer mass thermometric liquid. 3. cooking vessels are made up of metals as they are good conductors of heat. 4. copper tubing is used in automatic radiators. 5.tip of the soldering rod is made up of copper.
Mercury Racing sells powerboat parts, including sterndrives, outboards, propellers, drives, and accessories such as noise reducers, controls, and engine or exhaust tubing.
Set up a vacuum flask with flexible intake tubing long enough to reach the mercury spill. Use glass tubing on the inside of the flask to reach nearly to the bottom on the intake side. On the other side (the side connected to the vacuum source) make sure the glass tubing reaches just inside the flask, near the top, so that the mercury entering the flask will not simply be sucked into the vacuum source lines. Use a two-holed rubber stopper to accomplish all this. This will give you a mercury vacuum cleaner, so to speak. Use a regulator and be careful to use just enogh vacuum to lift the mercury into the flask.
1. - Clear glass tubing with neon produces red or reddish-orange; Clear glass tubing with argon produces faint purple. 2. - Some colors are produced by inert gases in tubing with fluorescent powders painted or baked on the inside. 3. - Colored glass may be used in combination with neon or argon, Mercury, and helium to produce other colors
It's right between the alternator fluid reservoir and the port side fallopian tubing. =)))
In chemistry, the wing tip apparatus is used to spread the flame over a large area on a glass tubing. This will result to a uniform bending in glass.
