There are many disadvantages of magnetic tape.
1. Mag tape is in physical contact with the recording heads, causing friction and wear.
2. Magnetic tape is an analog medium, even when digital data is being stored.
3. Tape can stretch or break, or lose its magnetic data due to age, heat or the Earth's magnetic field.
If they work similar to how floppies and hard drives work, they can be easily wiped out by strong magnetic fields. These magnetic fields can be created by magnets and electromagnets so it is best to keep them away from equipment that emits such fields or else there goes the data.
A disadvantage of a hard disk drive is that it takes up alot of space and could be heavy
- Occupies large space
- Can get stucked in tape reader
- Loses information stored in it over time
- Not suitable to be digital data storage
Pros: Cheap, Hold lot of space
Cons: Need constant power, overheating, slow, relatively large
There are no disadvantages really. Only that they use a large sum of power and can cause noise.
dis thing fool
It can store huge amount of data
It store non -volatile data that means if the switch off computer then data will not erased ..
It stores permanent data
u answer it
It CAN damaage the hard disk
u answer it
d disadvantages of winchester disk
Hard disk drives are a highly popular medium of computer storage because of their enormous capacity compared to other media. As a disadvantage, they are more costly and, depending on the type, have a limited lifetime.
A computer hard disk or hard drive (fixed disk) is hardware.
Hard Disk Drive.
IDE hard disk, SCSI hard disk, SATA hard disk, External hard disk, it is also differ by RPM speed for the HADD. I hope that helpes.
There are two types of Hard disk. 1:Sea gate disk 2:SATA Hard disk
The history of hard disk is that, hard disk is invented in 1950's that time hard disk size is 20 inche's maximum the name of hard disk inventer is "REY JOHNSON" by the help of IBM team. ""BILAWAL ABBAS""
IDE hard disk, SCSI hard disk, SATA hard disk, External hard disk, it is also differ by RPM speed for the HADD. I hope that helpes.
1. IDE Hard Disk 2. SATA Hard Disk 3. SCSI Hard Disk 4. Ultra SCSI Hard Disk
