The Divine Right of Kings was a bizarre idea that suggested that God chooses who becomes king. It is very old- the Egyptian Pharaohs believed roughly the same- as did the Inca Kings etc. It's only as religion has become more "mild" in the public domain over the last 200 years or so that this idea has been rubbished. After all, you wouldn't hear the Queen on Christmas Day thanking God that He chose her to rule would you?!

The divine right of kings.
United States does not believe in the divine right theory. According to the doctrine of the divine rights theory, only God is the one who can judge a king. During the glorious revolution, United States abandoned the divine rights theory.
The divine rights of the kings meant king being given position of equivalence to the god, where his word will be the last word and in return he will always place his interst below that of welfare of his subjects. As the corruption increased, the concentration of power in hands of some rulers made them autocratic, so divine rights were separated by the political rights in Greece, where the divine rights were given to the oracles.

He has rights that are greater than any other person because of his rank and that the higher rank he has derives from being chosen by and/or descended from the gods.
He was saying that he was king because God made him king, and therefore anyone who questioned his authority was also questioning the authority of God.
Divine right is where the king believes that he answers to god and god only and natural rights is the belief that everyone is born with the rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Divine rights are those which allegedly come directly from a god, monarchs usually become monarchs due to these rights. Natural, or inalienable, rights are rights given to every person which do not have to be earned. They are defined by English philosopher John Locke as the right to "life, liberty and property." Thomas Jefferson called them in writing the United States Declaration of Independence the right to "life, liberty and pursuit of happiness."
