ENIAC was designed and built in WW2 for the following purposes:
It had to be able to do this much faster than the existing human computers then used for these tasks. However ENIAC was not operational until after the end of the war.
ENIAC was the first general-purpose electronic computer. Calculating machines had been built before this, but they were mechanical, built for specific tasks and/or used gears to calculate numeric values. ENIAC used vacuum tubes to switch current, and worked with a numbering system other than base 10, which is what humans used. Look ENIAC up on Wikipedia for more information.
As , When the time ENIAC was built semiconductors were not invented so it used vaccum tubes as switching device, and it used around 16000 tubes so it had to be placed in a room of around 800 sq.ft,this was one of the prblm and another was that it could not store instructions.
Only one ENIAC was ever built. Its mechanism of programming was too inefficient and error prone.
A computer. ENIAC stands for Electronic Numerical Integrator And Calculator. The ENIAC was the first digital computer in the modern sense of the word, built in 1942-1945 in USA.
The ENIAC computer was built in the 1940s and was funded by the United States government. While there is no exact price available, it is estimated that the ENIAC project cost around $487,000.

nobody. it was invented then built, not discovered.

The first electronic computer, the Eniac, was built to calculate the flight paths of artillery shells during World War II.

Well the ENIAC was built in 1949.
yes

ENIAC was never sold, it was built to order on a cost plus wartime Army contract. The original estimated cost to build ENIAC in the contract was roughly $50,000, however by the time it was finished the final cost was over $500,000. About a year after completion, ENIAC was dissembled and shipped to the BRL Aberdeen where it was used for about a decade. The Army owned it from the day the contract was signed until it was retired.
Eniac didn't have any transistors. It was built with 17,468 vacuum tubes, 7,200 crystal diodes, and a whole host of other components. But no transistors. The first transistor was created in November, 1947, almost two years after Eniac was completed.
Only one ENIAC was ever built. Its mechanism of programming was too inefficient and error prone.
