The order goes to child support enforcement to persecute.
They have committed contempt of court for which they can be sanctioned by the court.
It makes absolutelly no difference how I would punish it - the question is how is the JUDGE going to punish it? Judges have tremendous leeway when punishing direct contempt.
Difficult to say. Judges have a LOT of power. If they want you returned badly enough for contempt of court- you're probably toast.
Unless the judge withdraws his order of contempt it will remain active (just as if it were a warrant) until the missing party presents themselves in court and answers to the judges concerns. If it is a civil contempt order, no arrest will take place - people are not arrested for civil contempt. However if it is a criminal contempt order, they are subject to arrest by law enforcement.
Being in contempt of court can help the other party gain custody but does not automatically guarantee it. Many times a mediator or guardian has to be assigned to change custody. Attorneys and judges also get involved in this decision.

you go to ur lawyer and they will give you paper work to fill out and when you fill that out you will have a day to show up in courtI suggest that you contact your State's child support agency. When you get an interview with them, bring all the papers relating to your child support: birth certificates, acknowledgments of paternity, court orders, payment records, etc. Be polite but persistent. Good luck!

Yes, Hamilton did support life tenure for judges because it prevented the president from removing a judge he didn't like or disagreed with.
If you are subpoenaed, yes. Otherwise you are in contempt of court, and will go to jail. Judges don't like being blown off.
An obligated parent can be incarcerated, but it rarely happens as judges realize the person would then be without the ability to earn income and pay the ordered support. If the judge should decide to incarcerate a non compliant parent on a charge of contempt that person would be sent to jail, (not a state prison), in the county or perhaps city where they are a resident.
