In the begging, France and Britian were at war. The US wanted no part in it and wanted to stay neutral, or not picking a side. But after both countries stole American ships and even soldiers for their battle, America decided to set war on Britian. There was NO winner to this war. (I know all this because I just studied about this in Social Studies)
