King Frederick I of Prussia died on February 25, 1713 at the age of 55.

In 1701, Frederick William III, crowned himself as king and controller of the government of Prussia. In 1740, Frederick William II took over and when he died the family continued to control the throne with various nephews.

The first King of Prussia was Frederick the Great. He was the King of Prussia from 1740 to 1786. His grandfather ruled in Prussia before him, but he was not called a King.
Leopold I allowed Frederick William I to unify Prussia as a kingdom that needed ruling. Because of this Prussia allied with Austria against King Louis XIV of France in the Spanish succession war.
Frederick Muhlenberg died on June 4, 1801 at the age of 51.
