The speed of light is 670,616,629.4 mph, and no one has ever travelled this fast. In fact, most physicists are agreed that to do so would be impossible as according to Einstein's Special Theroy of Relativity, to do so would require an infinite amount of energy.
We have travelled faster than the speed of sound though(and still do on a regular basis) Chuck Yeager was the first pilot to break the speed of sound (770 mph).
However, in 2007 two German physicists - Dr. Gunther Nimtz and Dr. Alfons Stahlhofen of the University of Koblenz - claimed that they had observed microwave photons travelling "instantaneously" (ie, faster than light) between prisms roughly a metre apart during investigations into a phenomenon known as quantum tunnelling.
No one has travelled faster than the speed of light, but the sound barrier has been broken.
Hasn't been one yet.
Nothing has ever gone faster than the speed of light.
This has not happened yet. It is usually believed that travelling faster than the speed of light is not possible.
No human has flown faster than the speed of light, as it is currently considered impossible based on our understanding of physics. The speed of light, approximately 299,792 kilometers per second, is the cosmic speed limit according to the theory of relativity.
Chuck Yeager is the first person to fly faster than sound (breaking the sound barrier), or MACH 1, on October 14, 1947 during level flight at an altitude of 45,000 ft.
Light.
The speed of knowledge/information travels faster than the speed of light.
He never did. But he was the first pilot to successfully travel faster than the speed of sound in 1947.
Travelling faster than the speed of light is not possible, therefore no galaxies have travelled or are travelling faster than the speed of light.
the light, light travels faster than speed :) ami
Nothing has ever been manufactured that could move anywhwere near the speed of light, and according to the best current science, nothing in nature can ever move faster than the speed of light.
Light is faster because speed does not move. Speed is a measure of the rate of movement but, in itself, it does not move - at all!
