The front window washer is not working on Renault scenic but the rear one starts when trying the front?

I have the same re-occuring problem on my 2001 scenic.
Good thing is its an easy fix.
There is a valve in the washer pump which changes direction depending on which washer you press and it can stick, so you just take the valve out clean it and the problem goes away until a bit of dirt gets in and the valve sticks again.

I had the same problem on my 54 plate - motor operated for front wash, but waster came out on the back screen. Following advice on other sites, I pumped the water out of the system, then topped up with some hand hot water. Let it stand for five minutes and then pump through the system. This worked at first, bu then the valve stuck again.
Rather than stripping the pump out, I found a joint in the washer pipe that runs between the offside wing and the bonner hige plate. Split the pipe at this point and then used a foot pump to blow back into the reservoir. Put a little detergent in the water and flushedit through.

Whatever you do, don't pay a dealer to do it. Halfords did mine (Dynamique, not scenic, but I believe they do Scenic's also) for less then £3. If you try and do it yourself you could spend hours trying and failing.

In other words revving the engine and trying to ease the clutch on. Practice will cure this. Riding it means keeping your foot on the clutch pedall all the time so that it slips even at speed.
