Plant absorbs water from the earth through the process of osmosis. The outermost cells of plants are able to absorb water through their semi-permeable cell membrane. Then this water moves up the Plant through Vascular tissues by diffusion.
osmosis is a natural physical process in which water (i.e. molecules of water) moves across a selectively permeable membrane from an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration so as to maintain equilibrium. it's sort of like diffusion, except only for solutes, or more specifically, water. plants need osmosis because through osmosis, they get their water. now, since osmosis stops when there's equilibrium (balance of water content in the soil and the plant).
this usually takes place in the roots of the plant. i bet you already knew this. anyway, root cells have more vacuoles. vacuoles are where water is stored in cells. sometimes though, osmosis could harm the plant. luckily, the cell walls prevent this from happening.
when the vacuole expands too much due to a high concentration of water inside theplant cell, the cell itself becomes bigger too. however, the cell wall prevents the plant cell from becoming too big because of its rigidity. hence, the vacuole has no more room to expand further and as a result, cannot take in more water. this ensures that the plant cell only gets the amount of water it truly needs.

osmosis is important to plants because it is the way th plant gets water through its leaves and root hair cells
It's used to maintain the concentration of cell cytoplasm, extracellular fluid and mucus.
by helping them grow into strong plants
ex:water,food,fiber
1. it passages water from high water potential to low water potential through a semi-permeable membrane
2. it helps plant stand up straight in the sunlight
Osmosis maintains turgidity in the cells so as to make them grow
by giving the plants water
plants absorb water and nutrients through osmosis. Therefore when there is no osmosis plants cannot survive.
All Plants must obtain water by osmosis
as the temperature increases, the rate of osmosis increases
Osmosis brings water into the cell which helps wilted plants recover from dehydration.
Osmosis is the movement of water across a selectively soluble membrane driven by a difference in solute concentrations. Osmosis in plants is the absorption of water from soil through the roots.
osmosis is to do about plants so it is diffusion hope this helped
Yes as temperature increases. So, does the rate of osmosis.
Because osmosis is the movement of water molecules from where they are in high concentration to where they are in low concentration.
sw
Osmosis the transfer of water through the cell. So when in osmosis the cell needs more water.
discover it bro
yes.
