the organism act in response to their environment
Adaption isn't just plant science. It is when an organism adapts to its environment .Adaptation is the way by which an organism adapts to its surroundings for better life.In plants, adaptation involves ways which are introduced by the plant to adapt to its environment. Example:- a cactus plant reduces its leaves to thorns for checking water loss. This is an adaptation.
Presence of motor cells in the lower epidermis cause rolling of leaves during extrem drought and saves the leaves from excessive transpiration.
The cells in the roots and leaves are thin, which makes it easier for water to diffuse across into the plant. Another adaptation is their large surface area, which enables the plant to maximize the intake of water and minerals .
Fleshy leaves and thick surface layers help in keeping water inside the plant, preventing it from drying out. The cactus is an extreme example of this adaptation, made to survive in arid environments.
Leaves adapt to their surroundings to ensure the survival of their parent plant:desert plants often have silver leaves to reflct excess sunlightdry area plants often have waxy leaves to make themselves waterproof and not dry out quick;ysome leaves taste bad to limit animal foragingsome leaves are toxic or irritating to prevent foragingsome graddes have sharp edes to keep animals away
Small leaves minimize water loss.
A giraffe is adapted by having a long neck to reach the leaves off of the tallest trees. So they can eat the leaves.
what i learnt in the school was it is adopted for insectivorous living its leaves have hairy borders n slippery surface to trap the insects as soon a insect comes near by the hairy hindges in the periperhy of the leaves catches it n the leaves folds within inside to trap the insect complety
Small leaves minimize water loss.
It has air spaces in its leaves.
Large leaves to receive maximum sunlight
broad leaves
Smaller leaves limit the loss of water through transpiration.
animals behavioral adaptation is when animal behaves a surtin wayBehavioral adaptations of an animal are the things an animal does to survive. These adaptations are a direct result of evolution and include things like hibernation and migration.
They minimize water loss
spines to protect against leaf-eating animals
It stores water in any of their body parts, i.e. leaves, stems and roots.
