The molecule tend to move faster in hot objects rather than cold ones. The reason being that the heat makes the warmer object move faster and the colder to stay closer together. That is why an ice cube is solid and a peice of cheese is melted. Because if you make somthing cold it will usually freeze and if you warm somthing it will usually melt.
