The art performed in ARTistic rollerskating is how the skater moves to show grace or skills. It is exactly like figure skating, just slightly harder because of the momentum you have to control. Roller skates are heavier which makes it harder. It is an art itself. the way the skater moves and jumps and dances on there skates is the art itself.

The skater "acts" on the wheels attached to the skates, causing momentum. This momentum causes an "unbalanced force" that acts with the same amount of force, but in the opposite direction of the skater. The skater acting on the skate wheels produces an equal net force in the opposite direction, which keeps the skater moving.
