Heat is a form of energy. The energy is tied to the molecules of the object. The faster the molecules in an object vibrate, the more heat energy it contains and therefore the more hotter it is. By measuring the amount of vibration in an objects molecules, you can calculate how hot it is.
Heat
That is called heat energy.
Thermal energy is defined as the movement of molecules within an object.
Heat energy in a substance is the intensity of vibration of the molecules in that substance. The more the vibration more is the heat energy stored in the object. So in a way Heat energy is the kinetic energy of the molecules in the substance. Thus temperature increases on the increase in the kinetic energy of the gases.

Conduction occurs when two object at different temperatures are in contact with each other. Heat flows from the warmer to the cooler object until they are both at the same temperature. Conduction is the movement of heat through a substance by the collision of molecules. At the place where the two object touch, the faster-moving molecules of the warmer object collide with the slower moving molecules of the cooler object. As they collide, the faster molecules give up some of their energy to the slower molecules. The slower molecules gain more thermal energy and collide with other molecules in the cooler object. This process continues until heat energy from the warmer object spreads throughout the cooler object.

its called internal energy.. temperature (defined as the degree of measure of heat, which is a form of energy) just helps you to compare the energies of two or more systems...
The molecules will move faster.
Yes, heat is the kinetic energy (the vibration modes) of the atoms and or molecules that make up an object.
Physical objects absorb heat when the molecules of which they consist absorb energy and increase their velocity. Molecules are always moving, or vibrating in a lattice structure. They can absorb energy through physical collisions with molecules of another object or medium (air, water), or through direct absorption of radiant energy. In either case, the molecules then increase their velocity and the object of which they are a part are said to become hotter, having absorbed heat.
