Since they will have told you before you left, of the terms of service, they are not liable for maintaining your email address beyond the stated period. Assuming you are now with a new ISP - they should have their own provision for creating email addresses.

Go to your dashboard and scroll down on the left hand side is a tab called Account Settings or Personal Settings click on under users you can change your email. you'll receive two emails: one email will go to the original email address on the account as a notification of the request and the other will go to the new email address with a confirmation link. You will need to click the confirmation link to complete the process to change the email address.
