The problem is the Power window switch in the center console. It must be fixed or replaced. A new one from RockAuto.com is about $80.00 so a junkyard would be the best place to find one for a reasonable price. I am having the same problem myself at the moment and isolated the problem. If i find a way to fix it I will repost.
No it is the window motor. I had to replace 2 of mine in a 97 Cabalier.
Yes, 98 & 02 are the same motor. Driver side & passenger side are interchangeable.
Of course not. When was the last time you saw a vehicle without a passenger window.
go to your local machanic
There is only one fuse for all power windows. If only the passenger side window does not work, the problem is either with the passenger window switch or the motor on that window.
This is a simple solution , I just need to know what is wrong with it and I can help you
To remove the rear passenger window of a 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier, first, ensure the window is fully closed. Next, remove the interior door panel by unscrewing any visible screws and gently prying it away from the door frame. Disconnect the window regulator and motor wiring, then carefully take out any retaining clips or bolts holding the window in place. Once everything is clear, you can lift the window out of the frame.
I would replace the master window switch
Identify the fault/problem. Repair or replace
There are two motor's for the top. They are on both sides of the back seat, connected to the rear passenger & driver side window cage.
Yes
Hi, The problem with your pass side window is the drivers side power window switch. I have had this same problem on my 1993 Aerostar.
