What is the point in the intrinsic conduction system where the impulse is temporarily delayed?

Av node

The group of conduction fibers carrying the impulse from the AV node?

Yay! Jeopardy!"What is the His-Purkinje fiber system, also known as "the bundle of His".

Why does the heart have the Bundle of His and the Purkinje fibers?

The bundle of His and the Purkinje fibres are part of the conduction system of the heart. In order to pump blood around the body, the heart muscle must contract (atria first to fill the ventricles, then ventricles contract to send the blood around the body.) The conduction system starts in the sinoatrial node (SA node) which is also known as the hearts natural pacemaker and is located at the top of the right atrium. The impulse is then sent to the atrioventricular node (AV node) located by the junction between the atria and ventricles. The next part of the conduction system is the bundle of His which sends the impulse from the atria to the ventricles. The purkinje fibres then spread through the ventricles. As the impulse passes through each part of the conduction system, that part of the heart is excited and the heart muscle contracts, which gives the pumping action of the heart.

What are the structures involved in the conduction system of the heart?

Internal pacemaker , sinoatrial(sa) node, atrioventricular (av) node , atrioventricular bundle (bundle of his ) and purkinje fibres.

What is the the correct path for the transmission of an impulse in the intrinsic conduction system of the heart?

sinoatrial (SA) node, atrioventricular (AV) node, atrioventricular (AV) bundle, right and left bundle branches, Purkinje fibers

Who was the first person to devise a system of classifying fingerprints?

Sir Francis Galton, a British scientist, was the first person to devise a system of classifying fingerprints in the late 19th century. He created a method for categorizing fingerprints based on their patterns and characteristics, laying the foundation for modern fingerprint identification techniques.

What are the Fibers of the conduction system of the heart?

Fibers of the conduction system of the heart is called Purkinje fibers

In what organ system is the purkinje fibers?

Inner ventricular walls of the heart, beneath the endocardium.

What is a continuation of the electrical system of the heart that follows the outer walls of the ventricle?

The His-Purkinje system is the part of the heart's electrical system that follows the outer walls of the ventricle.
