This procedure is referred to as bronchoscopy. Originally developed as rigid bronchoscopy, back in the 1950s, using a very frightening-looking rigid tube stuffed down into the trachea, which was very unpleasant for the patient and was limited to the examination only of the very upper part of the airway. This developed into flexible bronchoscopy, when a relatively fine, flexible tube is inserted, nowadays with a light source and digital camera at the tip, which can penetrate several bifurcations of the bronchial tree. Other attachments can be passed to the end of the tube, allowing biopsies to be taken - by way of a retractable loop of wire and a small pincer - or even small tumours to be cut with a knife or ablated with a laser.
The division of the Trachea is the Bronchial Tubes.
Trachea
That would be your Trachea
The tube that connects the throat and the bronchial tube is the esophagus. The tube that connects to the bronchial tubes is actually the trachea:9. What tube connects to the bronchial tubes? Trachea CORRECThttp://library.thinkquest.org/15401/cgi-bin/resp_quiz.cgi
The larynx is the structure that is located between the trachea and the bronchial. The trachea is the tube that runs from the larynx to the bronchi.
The trachea branches into two bronchial tubes called the left and right main bronchi. These bronchi further divide into smaller bronchial tubes that extend into the lungs to supply air to the bronchioles and alveoli for gas exchange.
The bronchial tubes connect the trachea (breathing tube) to the lungs.
The "Trachea".
The trachea, which feeds into the bronchial tubes.
In the chest. It is the sum of all bronchial tissue from the start of the trachea to the last divisions in the lung before the alveoli.
The trachea connects the larynx to the primary bronchi.tracheaThe Tracheathe trachea. it is a distal continuation of the larynx at the level of the sixth cervical vertebrae. the trachea then bifurcates into two principal bronchi at the level of the intervertebral disc between the fourth and fifth thoracic vertebrae.TracheatracheatracheatracheaThe trachea, more commonly known as the windpipe.the tracheaThe pharnyx? I'm guessing. The airway between larynx and bronchi is the trachea , or the windpipe.
It's Bronchi- Gradpoint sucks!bronchi, novanet
