I am only twelve and I studied this phenomenon for a school project. What I found out is the glass has a tiny adhesive force, but it is so small only a few water molecules can be pulled upward onto the edge of the glass tube.
I will be posting a YouTube video about this subject soon enough, so keep watching my (DaedalusSlayer) channel if you want more information. ;)

small amounts of gravity
Subatomic particles do have gravity. However, their gravity is very small.
The action is carried out by peristaltic waves.
The Asteroids are affected by gravity from the human's bum when it lets are it can get really stinky.
Yes there is gravity on mercury all matter has gravity regardless how small it is mercury is smaller then earth and has less gravity as a result.
Any force, however small, can go against gravity.

because of water's cohesion property, which is its ability to stick to itself and it adhesion property, which mean that water can stick to other material, it can travel upward in a plant. also, the plant's tube is very small, which allow water to overcome gravity and travel upward.
I am not 100% sure, but I believe it is when gravity pick something up and it knocks against the rock, eroding it. It sometimes makes a small hole in the middle, and it sometimes causes there to be a part missing from the top of the rock.

It has a small amount of gravity, but still not proven.
small
Yes. Everything with mass has gravity. However, a pencil has such a small mass that its gravity is not noticeable.
The remains of a massive star pulled into a small volume by gravity?
