or red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet.
Use a prism.
white light is made up of all the colours so that means white light can absorb all the colours
PRISM: A prism separates white light into a group of seven colors called a spectrum. These seven colors are always in the same order. The colors of the spectrum are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. You can make up a name by using the first letter of each color to form a person's name. ROY G BIV Light can be reflected and bent. When light passes into the prism glass it slows down and it bends. The color red is not as bent the same way as the color violet is bent. When the colors come out of the prism, each color is bent in a different way and in a different quantity. People hang prisms from fancy lights in their homes or from windows that the sun shines through in their homes in order to fill their rooms with rainbows. RAIN: After it rains, there are lots and lots of water droplets in the air, around us. When the sun comes out, white light will strike all the drops of water. Each and every water drop of the millions and millions of water droplets acts just like a prism in that it separates the single strand of white light into seven colors. Sunlight enters each and every drop of water and the colors are given out as if the drop of water was a prism. This bending and reflecting happens at the same time in all the droplets of water and that is what forms the colors of the rainbow that you see after it rains.
by the help of prism when white colour pass through the prism it gives seven colours like vibgyor same as from other direction of prism i seven lights passes through it gives white light
Newton divided the spectrum into seven named colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet (this order being popularly memorized by schoolchildren using the mnemonic ROY G. BIV).
There is no main color in the rainbow. There are seven constituent colors of the white light. We called the spectrum as rainbow.
the difference is that white light is a mixture of the seven spectrum colors but when refracted (separated by a transparent object) it splits again into seven colors striking at different angles that's why they look like one.one color above others.so the difference is that spectrum is a number of split colors striking at different angles but white light is the mixture of those colors.
The seven main colors in the spectrum of color are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. They are frequently remembered by the mnemonic "Richard of York gave battles in vain".
Use a prism.
Each of the seven colors of the spectrum are associated with specific healing properties.
white light is made of the seven spectrum colors violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange and red that's why the spectrum forms when white light is passed through an transparent object.this happens because white light is separated again making white light the seven spectrum colors again this process is known as refraction.
white colour composes into seven colour when they passes through spectrum of prism
incandescent bulb is equivalent to white light, i.e it has all the seven wavelengths of light. therefore when passed through a prism it is disperses into all the seven wavelengths WITHOUT ANY SPACES OR BOUNDARIES and are obtained on the screen as a CONTINUOUS SPECTRUM.
Indigo is the color seen between blue and violet on the color spectrum. While the colors in the spectrum as gradual and continuous, then human eye only distinguishes seven unique colors.
yes . spectrum consists of seven colors. very rarely you get to see all the colors in a spectrum. usually all colors are not visible clearly. experiments have been given and scientists have finally come to this answer that a spectrum consists of seven colors. eg . when we allow light to pass through a glass prism and let the light coming out from other end of the prism fall on a white surface, we can see all the seven colors a bit more clearly.
The seven accepted colors of the spectrum are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet, in that order. However, it is disputed whether indigo is actually a color in its own right, and not just a shade of blue or violet.
since it passes through a prism or any form of a prism like water droplets after rain, the white light that passes through the prism is split into seven colors forms a band of colors.
