Halcyon is a benzodiazepine and viewed as a central nervous system depressant and highly addictive (Recovery Connection, 2011). Furthermore, mixing alcohol and any script drug is dangerous and fatal in some cases.
Halcyon when abused or not taken as directed will cause you to need more and more of the drug for effect. If you are taking it for anxiety for example you will go through serious anxiety while you are withdrawing from Halcyon.
Respiratory depression can occur when combining halcyon and alcohol if you drink too much. This means when you fall asleep after drinking you stop breathing in your sleep and without immediate medical attention you die.
I hope you look at this seriously. Halcyon is prescribed for insomnia too and I would like to see you stop this medication and use something else if possible as this can kill you...
