I would go and get the tires balanced, FIRST.
You could have front end parts worn too. Check and replace as needed.
What make the steering wheel shake is the tires that need wheel balance.
if this happens at a certain speed it's probably the alignment of the tires.
Not the steering wheel shake itself, however what is causing the steering wheel shake, can certainly be extremely dangerous and potentially cause you to lose control of the vehicle. **GET IT CHECKED OUT BEFORE THAT HAPPENS**
Poor wheel alignment. Might want to take it in to get realigned.
Wheel balance, bent rim, bad tire or worn steering components to name a few.
You may need a new steering shock, rotate tires or need new tires. A new steering dampner shock, or front break rotars.
check tires could have a busted steel belt in the tire or nothing more than a tire out of balance.
Yes A VERY common concern is steering wheel shake due to ice in the rims
Yes, it is possible. Any loose/worn front end part can cause steering wheel to shake.
where is it shaking in the steering wheel or in the seat? shaking at certain speeds can be caused by a busted belt in a tire
One or more tire out of balance, a bent wheel, or defect in a tire.
The engine may spit, spudder, miss, shake at idle. Then all of a sudden straighten right up and run like a new one. Back and forth.
