early nissans have a window amplifier its located on the driver door, its what the switch plugs in to, it looks like a little box. very common problem is they burn out, you wont have any power to the motor and will probably think the motor is bad. check the motor first by putting power and ground to it, (two wires coming from window motor) it doesn't matter which one gets power cause one way up, switch wires and you get down. check motor first they are built well and usually the amplifier wears out first
Driver window is out of alignment on a 95 Nissan 240sx? what do i do
Nope, different body styles
Replace the window regulator
No DO NOT do that. You will ruin the machine!
you can get it from a junkyard for like 5 bucks, any 240sx window motor will work. dont go to a dealer because I went and they tried to charge $100.
Power window amp in the drivers side door. If you remove the door panel its a little black box toward the door latch with 8 wires coming out of it.
you need a new belt for the motor to raise and lower the window you need a new belt for the motor to raise and lower the window
u can just kick it out but itsnot the best way
More than likely it is your switch or a short in the wires, if the motor was going it would not work part of the time. I would say 95% it is the switch. Look for a part for this replacement on line , my guess about $50.
Both a 1990 Nissan 240sx and a Dodge Stealth are excellent sports cars, neither is better than the other. A Nissan 240sx uses a 140 horsepower engine and a Dodge Stealth uses a 164 horsepower engine.
Normally it is behind the brake pad...feel around there it should be there.
Sounds like engine coolant is getting into an engine cylinder
