Well if you take the first person (assuming they are on the same side you are on to start) that should take no more then 2 minute and 25 secs, (note this 17 minutes does not divide equally by the trips so its rounded up)
2 min 25 secs for return trip
2nd person across is another 2 min 25 secs
2 min 25 secs for return trip
3rd person across is 2 min 25 secs
2 min 25 secs for return trip
4th person across is another 2 min 25 secs
so 7 trips x 2 mins and 25 secs = 16.91 mins
