There is no King of England because at present the monarch is a Queen (Queen Elizabeth II). If HRH Queen Elizabeth II's parents, George VI and Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, had had a son, as opposed to two daughters, that son would have been the monarch and therefore a king of England. The Queen's husband, Prince Philip, is not a King because he is not a descendant of the British Royal Family, merely the husband of one. If HRH Queen Elizabeth's oldest son, Prince Charles, succeeds to the throne after her, he shall be a Kind of England, as eventually would his son Prince William.
