Here's what I found so far: To deduct interest payments paid as itemized home mortgage interest, the loan obligation must be secured by a recorded mortgage or deed of trust against the home. This can be doneby their signing and recording a mortgage or deed of trust to secure the promissory note.

There are many. For starters, see Leviticus ch. 11, which enumerates speciesthat may or may not be eaten. We also may not mix meat and dairy, or eatblood. We may not eat leavened baked goods on Passover. These are justsome examples.Answer:In order to be kosher, food has to be prepared according to the kosher-laws(see Deuteronomy ch.14).* Meat must be from those land animals which have split hooves and chewtheir cud (such as beef and mutton)* Fish have to have scales and fins. The kosher diet excludes shellfish.* Birds cannot be amongst those listed as forbidden in the Torah(Deuteronomy ch.14) and cannot be hunters/scavengers. In actual practice, today we eat only poultry-species concerning which we have a tradition thatthey're permitted, such as chicken and turkey.* Animals must be slaughtered in the manner specified by Jewish law and mustbe free of all disease. In actual practice, those who keep kosher purchasemeat which is certified as kosher.* As much blood as possible must be removed from meat before cooking, sinceconsumption of blood is forbidden (Leviticus ch.17). This was long a part of thepreparation of kosher meat in the home, but in modern times, is typically doneby the kosher butcher.* Dairy and meat cannot be combined in the same meal and there's a waitingperiod between eating one and then the other. After dairy: 1/2 hour. Aftermeat: 6 hours for most Jewish communities.* Fruits and vegetables should be checked to be sure they're free of bugs. Some Jews avoid cauliflower, asparagus, and the like, because of the difficultyin checking them.*Additionally, food must be prepared and handled following kashrut-laws andwith kosher ingredients only. Any food that does not meet these requirementscannot be eaten by those who are religiously observant. Foods which arepurchased should be labeled as having had kosher supervision during theirprocessing.
I wanted to provide a quick overview of some resources that can help anyone start from zero and start to develop their idea. This article will be divided into two posts. The first will concentrate on books and materials, and the follow up article will cover the next steps, highlighting some things you can do to start the process.BooksGetting Things Doneby David Allen.Let's face it. Most small business owners who are just starting out do not have the resources of unlimited time and money. (If they did, they would be on the beach!) Most businesses starting out are run on the side, usually while the owner is juggling a full or part time job, a family, and numerous other commitments. Getting Things Done will help you manage the workflow in a manageable way. A word of warning: GTD (as it's very fervent community refers to it) is not for everyone. It will seem over the top. It is impossible to walk away from it though, without changing some of your practices. The E-Myth Revisited by Michael Gerber. Many of the business books that are very popular are really good, but not many deal with the new reality that is the online environment. The E-Myth Revisited digs into the new online culture and what it means to business.Good to Great by Jim CollinsThis book is a classic. Collins drills down into companies who are doing it right. Small businesses will not have the resources that many of the subjects in the book do, but any company can be helped by studying their best practices.Crush It! by Gary VaynerchukGary defines following your passion and doing everything with openness and transparency.BlogsStartupNation www.startupnation.comStartup Nation is one of the best sites for getting ideas together, and starting to formulate those ideas into something that makes sense. There are ten commandments of God, and six commandments of the Church; there are various ways of categorizing sins, there are "seven deadly sins" which are the root of all the others:Ten Commandments of GodExodus XX1. I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself a graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them or serve them. For I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.2. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.3. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor, and do all your work; but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God; in it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your manservant, or your maidservant, or your cattle, or the sojourner who is within your gates; for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day; therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.4. Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which the Lord your God gives you.5. You shall not kill.6. You shalt not commit adultery.7. You shalt not steal.8. You shalt not bear false witness against your neighbor.9. You shalt not covet your neighbor's wife.10. You shalt not covet your neighbor's goods.Six Commandment of the Church1. You shall attend Mass on Sundays and on holy days of obligation and rest from servile labor.2. You shall confess your sins at least once a year.3. You shall receive the sacrament of the Eucharist at least during the Easter season.4. You shall observe the days of fasting and abstinence established by the Church.5. Operational AuditsAn operational audit is a review of any part of an entity's operating procedures and methods for thepurpose of evaluating efficiency and effectiveness. At the completion of an operational audit, recommendations to management for improving operation are normally expected. An example of an operational audit is evaluating the efficiency and accuracy of processing payrolltransactions in a newly installed computer system. Another example, where most accountants would feelless qualified is evaluating the efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction in processing the distributionof letters and parcels by a courier company such as TCS.Because of the many different areas in which operational effectiveness can be evaluated, it is impossible tocharacterize the conduct of a typical operational audit. In one organization, the auditor might evaluate therelevancy and sufficiency of the information used by management in making decisions to acquire new fixedassets, while in a different organization the auditor might evaluate the efficiency of the paper flow inprocessing sales. In operational auditing, the reviews are not limited to accounting. They can include the evaluation oforganization structure, computer operations, production methods, marketing, and any other area in whichthe auditor is qualified. The conduct of an operational audit and the reported results are less easily defined than for either of theother two types of audits. Efficiency and effectiveness of operations are far more difficult to evaluateobjectively than compliance or the presentation of financial statements in accordance with accountingconventions and principles; and establishing criteria for evaluating the quantifiable information in anoperational audit is an extremely subjective matter. In this sense, operational auditing is more like "management consulting" than what is generally regarded as"auditing". Operational auditing has increased in importance in the past decade.Compliance AuditsThe purpose of a compliance audit is to determine whether the entity is following specific procedures, rules,or regulations set down by some higher authority.A compliance audit for a private business could include determining whether accounting personnel arefollowing the procedures prescribed by the company controller, reviewing wage rates for compliance withminimum wage laws, or examining contractual agreements with bankers and other lenders to be sure thecompany is complying with legal requirements. In the audit of governmental units such as districts school, there is extensive compliance auditing due toextensive regulation by higher government authorities. In virtually every private and non profit organization, there are prescribed policies, contractual agreements, and legal requirements that may call for complianceauditing. Results of compliance audits are typically reported to someone within the entity being audited rather than toa broad spectrum of users.Management, as opposed to outside users, is the primary group concerned with the extent of compliancewith certain prescribed procedures and regulations. Hence, a significant portion of work of this type is doneby auditors employed by the entity itself. There are exceptions; when an organization wants to determine whether individuals or entities that areobligated to follow its requirements are actually complying, the auditor is employed by the entity issuing therequirements. An example is the auditing of taxpayers for compliance with the federal tax laws, where the auditor isemployed by the government to audit the taxpayers' tax returns.Following table summarizes the three types of audits and includes an example of each type and anillustration of three of the key parts of the definition of auditing applied to each type of audit. for more studyExamples of the Three Types of Audits
