Burundi, Africa is located in Central Africa. Its bordering states are Rwanda, Tanzania, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Malawi is located on the Eastern side of Africa. It borders countries such as Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Tanzania and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
They are separate countries. The Republic of Rwanda, known as the Land of a Thousand Hills, is a landlocked country located in the Great Lakes region of eastern-central Africa, bordered by Uganda, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Tanzania. The Republic of Uganda is a landlocked country in East Africa. It is bordered on the east by Kenya, on the north by Sudan, on the west by the Democratic Republic of the Congo, on the southwest by Rwanda, and on the south by Tanzania. The southern part of the country includes a substantial portion of Lake Victoria, which is also bordered by Kenya and Tanzania.
The lake which surrounds this point is Lac Tanganyika which is contained within the countries of Burundi, Tanzania, Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The Congo River, previously known as the Zaire River, primarily runs through the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It forms the border between the Republic of the Congo and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Mount Kilimanjaro and Lake Tanganyika are both African landmarks. Kilimanjaro is in north-eastern Tanzania. Lake Tanganyika is located in four countries, however. Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Tanzania and Zambia all have part of the lake in their land. The majority of Lake Tanganyika is in the DRC (45%) and Tanzania (40%).

It existed from 1949 to 1989. It occupied what is now the northeastern portion of Germany.
