Thomas Paine is most noted for writing "Common Sense" during the Revolutionary war. The 47 page pamphlet stated that citizens, not Kings and Queens, should make laws.

He wrote a few books. His most famous was "Common Sense", a book that he published in 1776. He also wrote "Rights of Man" and "The Age of Reason".
