Yes, I suspect you had some implantation bleeding at the time of your first "missed" period that you mistook for a real period, and so did not take a pregnancy test until the following month. Also, pregnancy symptoms can take several weeks before they are noticeable - mine didn't show up until week 6-7, so it is very possible that you didn't have any symptoms until you were waiting to get your period the following month.
