What do you get if you mix iron and hydrochloric acid?

Assuming iron II.Fe + 2HCl --> FeCl2 + H2A salt, iron II chloride ( also known as ferrous chloride ), and hydrogen gas.

Significance of nucleosome?

Part of Chromatin. Smaller units made of DNA & histone octamers (8). 2 of each: H2A, H2B, H3, H4, all attached to the larger H1.

What is a nucleosome and what organic component is it primarily composed of?

Chromatin composed of tetramer of histones 2 copies each of Histone H2A, H2B, H3 and H4. DNA is bound on the nucleosome and uses 147 basepairs of DNA.

In chemistry why is it when making salt it is plus water at the end and then sometimes plus hydrogen how can you determine whether to write it with water at the end or hydrogen please help?

The reaction of an alkali metal with water is violent and release hydrogen:2 Na +2 H2O = 2 NaOH + H2A neutralization reaction is:NaOH + HCl = NaCl + H2O

What are histone?

HistonesHistones are proteins that aid in the organization of DNA into chromosomes. There are four types of histones found in chromatin: H2A, H2B, H3, and H4. Two of each histone comprise a protein core, a nucleosome, which DNA wraps around twice. What results is a "bead on a string" model in which the nucleosomes are the beads and the linker DNA binds them together. Another characteristic of histones are the protein tails that extend outward from the "bead." The tails and the degree of their acetylation is an important factor in gene expression. True or false DNA is tightly wrapped around nucleosomes?

its quite intresting to kno dat in a single cell the length of DNA integrated is about 2metres or more. so to accomodate dat much length of smething it needs to b wrapped. it can can b thought of packing a heap of clothes in a small suitcase. So it has to be compacted to a level of packing called nucleosomes.

What are the equations formed during the process of photosynthesis?

The generalequation for photosynthesis is: : n CO2 + n H2A + photons → (CH2O)n + n O2 + n A : carbon dioxide + electron donor + light energy → carbohydrate + oxygen + oxidized electron donor Since water is used as the electron donor in oxygenic photosynthesis, the equation for this process is: : 2n CO2 + 2n H2O + photons → 2(CH2O)n + 2n O2 : carbon dioxide + water + light energy → carbohydrate + oxygen The overall equation for the light-dependent reactions under the conditions of non-cyclic electron flow in green plants is: : 2 H2O + 2 NADP+ + 2 ADP + 2 Pi + light → 2 NADPH + 2 H+ + 2 ATP + O2

What is bigger DNA or nucleotide?

Clearly, a nucleus is much larger than a nucleotide. A nucleotide is essentially a molecule. Therefore, it can only me measured in molecular dimensions. The nucleus is the largest organelle within a eukaryotic cell.

What role do proteins play in enabling the enormous amount of DNA in a eukaryotic cell to lit into the nucleus and what are those proteins called?

Histones are proteins which help to tightly pack the DNA into the nucleus of eukaryotic cells. A histone octamer (8 histones together= 2 of H3, 2 of H4, 2 of H2A and 2 of H2B) is formed and the DNA is wrapped 1.65 times around these 8 tightly packed histones forming a nucleosome. There are many nucleosomes along the DNA and together they look similar to a pearl necklace, with the beads being the nucleosomes. The nucleosomes can then be packed together even more tightly (like in heterochromatin) by other proteins.Histones
