# Take a blanket or towel and bring your guinea pig outside the cage to let it run around. Even better, barricade off an area, or an entire room, and allow the guinea pig to have some "floor time" in a large area. MAKE SURE THERE IS NOTHING THAT YOUR PIG WILL CHEW ON , THE ARE MUST BE FREE FROM PREDATORS, AND THAT THERE IS NOIHING THAT WILL HURT YOU PIG IN THE AREA IT WILL BE IN. YOU MUST PROVIDE SUPERVISION !!!
You can put them out daily in a run and this should be sufficient.
He he, I did this with my guinea pigs, and it worked!
Get an old towel for them them to sit on, then place a pie of carrot or brocolli or whichever vegetable they like on your knee. Cross your legs, and talk to them encouragingly. Start by placing them on your knee, and let them take a bite or the veg. Put them back on the towel, repeating this for a while. Carry on doing this, placing them a little further away each time, letting them climb up. Eventually, they should be able to climb up on their own.
I hope this is what you meant, but if not, still try it because as they progress, you can try even more complex things with them. I have mine racing back to their cage!
you can teach it to run on a wheel!or you can teach it to roll over
Guinea pigs do not have the right spine structure to withstand the wheel, But there are many tricks you can teach your guina pig especially if you have treats.
you can buy a leash for a guinea pigs but some guinea pigs earn things for wearing leash but a lot of guinea pig don't do anything so you could try to train them but you have to do it like for 2 months to have there mind on the thing you want they to be controlled too
Clicker training is the easiest and most straight forward way to train a pet or animal. It works better for some than others
You give it treats to reinforce good behavior. They'll learn how to spin in a circle just for one. Cuddling with it while it is young tames it also. As a general rule they don't bite.
Yes, your guinea pig can be trained as long as it is not a potty train .... it doesn't need that.
Yes but it may be difficult
I found that my guinea pig, when I was training him he liked the offer of food, because he liked to eat. Maybe it is just my guinea pig, but he liked food when he was training.
