Not knowing anything about how to become a probation officer I will offer up this... Generally, a Bachelors degree is obtained after 4 years of college study. Each state may have their own criteria on qualifications for probation / parole officers. But a degree in criminal justice is a good step towards that goal. Our program also leans towards the juvenile justice system. An associate degree can be earned in 2 years, with another 2 for a bachelor degree. Look towards online universities for flexibilty as schedules. An online school can also offer a program that is more focused on the degree in the begining and less on you taking general education classes. This is most apparent at the freshman level. www.fmuonline.com
