Area the measure of the two - dimensional space enclosed in a shape while volume is the measure of the three - dimensional space in enclosed in a shape. this is true said blue waffle man.Area has two dimensions. Volume has three. Also are is a measure of a surface and Volume is a space occupied by a gas or liquid.Volume is measured in cubic units and area is measured in square units.Area is surface measurement. Volume is measurement of the surface area x depth or height (think of capacity to describe volume).
density
Mass divided by volume Ex. Mass: 12 Volume:3 Density:4 g/cm Hope this helps!
The capacity of an object is a measure of the volume of stuff that can be put inside the object. I have not come across many hollow hammers - apart from toy balloon hammers! But, for ordinary hammers, a reasonable unit for volume would be cubic centimetres (or centilitres). The capacity of an object is a measure of the volume of stuff that can be put inside the object. Volume is a pace which can be occupied by some thing, whereas capacity is applies to liquids as the quantity contained in a given space.
to measure volume the object must be three dimensional. the purpose of measuring the volume of an area is to know its capacity
The cranial capacity is a measure of the volume of a skull (cranium) while a centimetre cube is a measure of volume - of any object - the ignition chambers of a petrol engine, a bottle of soda, a box.
The object's 'volume' or 'capacity'.
Volume
use Archimedis' law- take a known volume of water in a vessel filled upto the brim and immerse the object that you want to measure the volume inside the vessel without giving any pressure and measure the volume of the water overflowed. that will give you the volume of the object(an approximate value)
A unit of volume for a 3 dimensional object such as cubic inches, metres, litres etc. A unit of area for a 2 dimensional object such as square inches, metres etc
You fill up water ina beaker, measure the volume of the water as it originally was, then drop in an irregulary-shaped object, measure that volume, and subtrect the two. The difference is the volume of the object.
No volume is how much space an object takes up. Mass is the measure of the amount of matter in an object.
multiply it Length- Width - Height , or measure the volume of a container of water then stick the object in and measure the volume of the object+water then subtract the volume of the water then you have the volume
It is the volume - strictly the internal volume - of a solid object.
