Best Answer

yes and/or no

everything that goes IN a computer is internal, external is outside the case

you could get an external graphics card but that would make your laptop more like a desktop, you should get internal, and yes, you need to open it up.

if you don't know what to do, take it to a PC store and let them do it.

Can i install a Geoforce GTX 960 graphics card into my ASUS X540S laptop?

Previous Reply:No. That model has integrated graphics only. No space to put in a replacement card. This is somewhat incorrect, you cannot replace a card that already doesn't exist in a laptop, but it is possible to add graphics via an external graphics card provided you have a thunderbolt port.Updated Answer:Yes, it is possible to install better graphics to a laptop. The previous answer-er was correct in saying you cannot install a graphics card in your model. But if you had a laptop with a thunderbolt connector, then you could buy a graphics card dock for about $200 USD.In all, I don't believe you are able to, because you don't have a thunderbolt connector in your laptop model.

Is there any way to upgrade the graphics card on a hp pavilion notebook?

Yeah, Although you can upgrade the video card on a laptop, it is very difficult and you would need to open your laptop up, and then un-solder the card and then put new compatible card in and then solder again. The soldering part is the main question... a professional computer tech will have to do this... and it'll cost you$$$... So by the time you pay for that, investing in a newer computer is a better option. Good Luck!

No you cannot :(. The PlayStation 3 has a intergrated GPU(graphics card) which is solderd onto the motherboard, and there are no slots for a graphics upgrade unlike a computer which can be upgraded.

How do you change a non gaming laptop to a gaming laptop?

Simply put, if you want to play video games, you're probably going to need a laptop with a graphics card. Its nearly impossible for a novice to add a graphics card to an old laptop because of compatibility issues with the motherboard and the lack of room in the laptop chassis. However, there are several ways to increase the performance of your laptop. You can add RAM, swap out the hard drive for a faster Solid State Drive SSD, upgrade your operating system, delete any unnecessary programs running in memory and you can tweak your settings in Windows. But, none of these options will magically turn your laptop into a gaming laptop. The kind of specs you need to run modern games can be found in a gaming laptop like the one in the related link.

How to find out whether system has graphics card?

All systems have a graphics card. If one isn't in the slot to put one in, then you'd be using the one already built into the motherboard which aren't very good. Without a graphics card, your computer won't show anything.
