Eclipses are neither good nor bad; they simply "are". They are perfectly natural phenomena, and we need to understand why and how they happen. Fortunately, they are quite simple and obvious if you take a long enough view.
Personally, I like them; I think they make a pleasant change of pace, something different in the week.
Because the solar eclipse is so bright that it can damage or even burn your eyes
why? What purpose does it serve? 1.Why does it happen 2.When does it happen 3.What is the difference between a solar and lunar eclipse 4.When is the next eclipse 5.When is the next total lunar/solar eclipse 6.When was the last eclipse 7.When was the last lunar/solar eclipse 8.When have eclipses landed on important dates and what type 9.When did people stop thinking eclipses were bad omens 10.How do animals react to eclipses 11.Who discovered what an eclipse was 12.How can an eclipse damage your vision 13.Do/which certain ethnic groups celebrate or cherish eclipses 14.Do/which certain ethnic groups fear or loath eclipses 15.Do lunar or solar eclipses differ in how animals respond to it
they sing total eclipse of the heart in episode 17 bad reputation
There is nothing inherently harmful about a solar eclipse. The only problem is that you might be tempted to look at it. If you do this without proper protection, except at totality, the light from the sun can damage your eyes.
Never, i repeat Never stare at a solar eclipse as it will burn the retina out of your head. that is where the moon blocks out the sun whereas a lunar eclipse is where the sun blocks out the moon and that is perfectly fine to look at!!
It is only bad to look directly at the sun. Otherwise you can go about your normal business.
If you are talking about the book then its good but the movies is too!
No. In order for a solar eclipse to occur, the Sun, Moon and Earth must line up precisely. Most of the time, the alignment is wrong and the shadow of the Moon points either "above" or "below" the Earth without touching it. Only about twice a year is the alignment close enough to have an eclipse. In many cases, the alignment is very close, and you have a solar eclipse and a lunar eclipse just two weeks apart. In some years, like 2008, the alignment is particularly bad, so last year we had three PARTIAL solar eclipses and one annular eclipse instead of the typical two.
It is possible for people to watch a solar eclipse; it may be part of a solar eclipse that they see or even the total eclipse. It is suggested not to look at it though since it is bad for one's eyes. So, special sunglasses help for that - not ordinary ones. With the naked eye, it will cause serious damage, and even blindness. Some common methods of avoiding this are watching through tree branches, so that most of the light is blocked, or buying special protective glasses. (Sunglasses won't do the trick).
Jul 17, 2205. too bad though. I'd be dead before I could see a solar eclipse in my birth city. :(
No. Eclipses have no lasting effect ... good or bad ... on plants, animals, or people.
To protect your eyes during a total eclipse, use certified solar viewing glasses or a solar viewer to directly view the eclipse. Do not look at the sun without proper eye protection, as it can cause serious eye damage.
