I just towed a 5,900 lbs Bobcat skid loader on a 1,500 lb heavy duty trailer in the Texas Hill Country with my extended cab 1500 Silverado with the 5.3 liter engine and no trailer brakes hooked up. It pulled it but it was about all I would care to pull with that truck and I would not want to pull it far.
7500 lbs.
Since the Owner's Manual does not give the towing capacity, I contacted a local dealer and was told the towing capacity for the 1994 Silverado Z71 was 7200 pounds. This information was not taken out of a manual, but came from one of the technitions who stated he owned a Silverado. I have not been able to verify this as of yet.
