How do I get engine codes for 1999 toyota corolla?
I want to know the wiring color codes of the Toyota corolla 2006 car radio.
I don't know much about engine codes, but my 1997 Toyota Corolla has had trouble starting. I have been told that the sounds it makes suggest the solenoid is at fault.
Dealer or paint shops.

Try either disconnecting the battery for about 10 mins. or have vehicle scanned to determine problem and/or have codes cleared
it requires an obdII scan tool. some big part stores provide this service for free. call around!
if it says "service engine soon" yes, there is a problem. probably not severe but it should be scanned for engine codes and repaired at the nearest opportunity.
Take it to auto zone and have the codes read for free.
find the "diagnosis" connection box under the hood left side of engine. open; attach jumper wire to "e1" + "te1" & count flashes of check eng light to obtain codes.
Have you checked engine mountings!
Find out what's wrong with the engine. Use a code scanner to find out what diagnostic codes have been stored. That should give you an idea what's wrong, then fix the problem and the light should go out.
Engine cylinders # 1 and # 4 are misfiring
Toyota engine code 402
you need to take it to a repair shop and have it scanned for codes.
it may be the maf sensor i got a corolla 2001 too do you have any codes ?this is a old question thought.
If you are referring to the color codes for the Head Unit wiring for installing an aftermarket stereo system, then the wire colors can be found at http://www.installdr.com/Harnesses/Toyota-Wiring.pdf
Go to----- http://www.extreme-check-engine-light-codes.com/Toyota%20OBD1%20Decoder.htm---- for this info
hi you can buy obd reader/scanners available from $50 to $299 you can scan your engine computer and erase all the codes in ecu memory(engine control unit) its very simple and easy although check engine light will come back if your engine has any problem,so try it good luck
When the light comes on it's telling you to read the engine diagnostic codes.
If you're talking about the toyota corolla I'm pretty sure that it's just regional codes, most parts should be interchangeable
Go on the web and goggle it. (TOYOTA CODES)
Fuel/air trim too lean.Your engine is not getting enough fuel in the optimal ratio. Could be may causes. What to do? Have your OBD codes scanned. That will tell you which sensor has gone faulty to cause the problem,.....go to AutoZone or any large parts house and they will scan your OBD free.
