It is the immobiliser warning light. Comes on if incorrect key is used or vehicle is tow/bump started. Needs to be cleared with OBDII tool but uses obscure 14 pin Mercedes interface connection.

The squeak is your tires losing traction on the pavement. Prominent in rear wheel drive cars.
What are traction bars?
They are bars which mount on the rear axle, under the leaf springs of a rwd car or truck. As you accelerate the torque will cause the axle rotate up at the front. The traction bar has a bump stop at the the front that when this happens contacts the front mount of the leaf spring. This contact causes the wheels to be driven into the pavement(more taction).

A bump is a lump like, for example, a bump on your skin or a bump in a road.
Why are car tires not made of metal?

In order to have good traction, they have to have bumps and tread built into them. These tend to destroy roads. Yes You can get it checked at a muffler shop free. If your shock is bad it can allow your wheel to bounce like a ball and loose traction. Loosing traction will allow the auto to slide/turn sideways when hitting bumps causing you to loose control. Cheers! perdidojoe
