Fluid level is low. Add some fluid.
First you must locate the dip-stick marked transmission fluid then carefully while the motor is running remove the dip-stick, wipe clean with a cloth. Replace the dipstick, then remove again look at the indicators on the dipstick to see if fluid is needed.
The dip stick where you check the transmission fluid. You will need a funnel. On mine if you are standing in front of the car looking at the motor the dip stick is on the right in front.
make sure car is on level ground...open hood...pull transmission dip stick...check transmission fluid level...if low, fill to cold fluid level on dip stick.....start the motor..let the car warm up....check fluid level again....fill to hot level on transmission dip stick....use manufacturer's recommended transmission fluid........usually instructions are on dip stick... make sure car is on level ground...open hood...pull transmission dip stick...check transmission fluid level...if low, fill to cold fluid level on dip stick.....start the motor..let the car warm up....check fluid level again....fill to hot level on transmission dip stick....use manufacturer's recommended transmission fluid........usually instructions are on dip stick...
it is the yellow stick coming out of the transmission make sure the motor is hot b4 you check it and on level ground and running not like oil you get no reading from it if it is not running
The 2011 Chevy Cruze has a dip stick for checking transmission fluid right behind the motor. When looking at the motor from the front it is located directly behind the manifold cover.
remove transmission dip stick and find a long small funnel (clean) and insert it into dip stick tube and add appropriate tranny fluid with engine RUNNING !
Pull the transmission dip stick out , and make sure oil is showing on it . You need to take it for a drive and get the tranny fluid warmed up and then with the engine running and tranny in park , check the fluid on the dip stick . If the fluid is showing on the right mark on the dip stick you are good .
to add transmission fluid, pour it down the tube where the dip stick goes. Not the dip stick for the motor oil, but the transmission fluid. It is located by the fire wall under the hood. I use a funnel attached to a hose to stick in the tube, makes it a whole lot easier.
It will tell you on the stick, either "check hot" or "check cold", running or not.
Stand at the front of the T-bird with the hood raised. Look at the left side of the motor, walk around and stand on the left, passenger's side of the car. While looking at the motor, you will see a stick toward the back of the motor, that is metal. That is the transmission fliud dip stick. While your car is running, and hot, pull the dip stick up and out of the holder. Wipe the stick with a rag or paper towel, then place it back into the holder. Again, pull the dip stick up and out of the holder, and keep the dip stick pointing to the ground. Slowly pull the wet end of the dip stick toward your eyes, so that you can see the fluid on the bottom of the stick. Check to see where how far up the fluid goes on the stick. There are lines on the end of the dip stick to let you know if the fluid is full, or low. If it is low, place a funnel into the dip stick holder, and pour about half a quart of transmission fluid into, let it settle for a minute, then check it with the dip stick again. Continue this until the fluid is up to the full line.
The transmission fluid does not come out of the transmission dip stick. The transmission fluid is added through the dip stick area though. The exact specification on how to change transmission fluid will depend upon the exact vehicles and the owner's manual should be reviewed.
The transmission fluid dipstick is located on the passenger side near the top rear of the engine. With the engine running, remove the dipstick and check the level on the stick.
