Replaced the pan gasket with a new one.
Fix the cause, or keep adding fluid.
That's automatic transmission fluid , or power steering fluid , so it would depend on where it is leaking from
how can i check the transmmission fluid?
check your radiator hoses and change gaskets
You must first find and fix tranny fluid leak, then list symptoms if problem occurs with proper type of fluid at proper level.
Buy a new transmission oil pan gasket before your transmission blows from leaking liquid.
It depends where it's leaking from. I have had two previous cases of my truck leaking transmission fluid and both consisted of the pressure lines not being properly clipped on or a bad hose. It could be a old or faulty gasket inside the transmission box. Either way it would need replacing of the hardware. only way to fix it.
I Had the same Problem. I change my Transmission screen and replace the gasket. this solved my problem.
check transmission fluid then go to transmission mechanic. problem may be in computer and be a simple fix
Coolant? Bad radiator Radiator has a separate cooling tank (usually at the side or bottom of radiator) for transmission fluid. At times this tank ruptures allowing coolant to get into transmission. Most times causing a transmission failure.
Replace the front seal which is located by the spline.
The Windstar transmission could have a seal that leaks worse as the transmission gets hot and the fluid is under pressure. Go to a car wash and clean the transmission good. Watch for several days to see where the fluid is leaking from so that you can find and fix the leak.
